In the Food & Nutrition Project, throughout the year, we learn about food science, nutrition, and cooking. At every meeting, we also make delicious food to take home. Last year, we baked homemade 5-minute bread from scratch and whipped up almond macarons and fresh salsa. We also conducted a food science experiment with cookies, where everyone made a batch with a slight change to the original recipe, such as more brown sugar, melted butter, or double the amount of flour. At the end of each meeting, we eat well! Yum yum!
