Gardening Project

Do you have an interest in growing your own vegetables? Or maybe you want to start planting a flower bed. Whatever you hope to accomplish, the Rolling Hills 4-H Gardening Project strives to heighten any existing gardening skills or grow new ones. In the past, the Gardening Project created fairy gardens, planted a variety of vegetables, and has worked with the club to grow and donate produce through Plant a Row. The donated produce is given to Second Harvest Food Bank.

The Gardening Project covers:
· Basic components plants need to be healthy.
· Different types of soils and what nutrients need to be included for the plant to thrive.
· Different types of composing methods and how they can be beneficial for the health of the garden.
· Making a garden plan and creating a garden.
