Therapy Animal Project

The Therapy Animal Project is a unique project in Rolling Hills 4-H which allows our club members to give back by sharing their animals with children with special needs. While some project members have their own animals, members that don’t have animals borrow them from Animal Assisted Happiness, a non-profit organization for children with special needs, to share. Over the project year, the Therapy Animal project has done visits with the Saratoga Sub-acute Center, Animal Assisted Happiness, and the Riding for the Handicapped program at Westwind Barn. As a project, we learn about the power that animal therapy can have in inciting happiness in people of all kinds.
